BLACKGEYE HOME

One of our good friends is an avid league bowler with ties to the PBA (Pro Bowler’s Association). Our friend got us press credentials to cover the SoCal leg of the PBA Tour that stopped in Fountain Valley, CA (aka Los Angeles suburb) with all the pomp and circumstance you’d expect from America’s favorite sport: advertisement-clad Hummers, sprawling trailers equipped with every imaginable contraption to drill, polish, resurface balls, wrist guards, lane machines & more … (we had no idea that bowling was so scientific). We talked to tour coordinators, famous bowlers and infamous celebrities who want to be famous bowlers (e.g., JT “Action” Jackson” who is otherwise known as Cola from those Bacardi & Cola commercials).

The PBA enjoyed the finish product of our video so much that there are now talks of us going out on the road to cover a “day in the life” of professional bowlers on tour. BlackGeye’s VP would LOVE to live like a gypsy in a travel trailer, as long as there’s Direct TV.

We hung out with Billy Zane at the Chinese Theatre for the Bloodrayne Premiere tonight. We caught lots of stars on the red carpet (we felt like Billy Bush & Nancy O’Dell of Access Hollywood — or one of those shows) and tried to think of clever, compelling questions to pose to celebrities when they meandered our direction & stopped at our little hideaway by the metal railing…some notables we met & enjoyed that evening included Clint Howard – Ron Howard’s brother who was delightful & sooo positive; Michael Madsen, his little sister Virginia Madsen, Kristanna Loken, Udo Kier & more … watch the video to see more of BlackGeye in action on Hollywood Blvd.
